Biography
Ross serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Ascentium Fiduciary, responsible for setting the overarching vision, driving organisational growth, and ensuring strategic execution across the business lines.
Ross has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including a distinguished career as a lawyer and partner. He is the former Global Managing Partner of Harneys, our strategic alliance partner law firm. Previously, he led the Harneys Investment Funds practice in the British Virgin Islands, advising clients on the formation, operation and restructuring of offshore investment funds, as well as the impact of relevant financial services and securities laws. He was closely involved in the introduction of the BVI’s Securities and Investment Business Act (SIBA) in 2010.
He relocated to London in 2014, and became CEO of Harneys Fiduciary, which rebranded to Ascentium in 2026.
Ross is the former chairman of both the BVI Financial Services Commission’s Securities, Investment Business and Mutual Funds Advisory Committee and the BVI Investment Funds Association, as well as a former member of the Company Law Review Advisory Committee. He remains involved in various public-private committees in the BVI and regularly consults with government on regulatory developments and new products. He is a contributing editor to British Virgin Islands Commercial Law (Sweet & Maxwell). Prior to joining Harneys law firm, Ross worked in corporate finance at Hammonds LLP (now Squire Patton Boggs LLP) in England.
