Dr. Tina Thomas is the Head of ESG at Ascentium Singapore, where she guides boards and executive teams across the Asia-Pacific region. Drawing on more than 15 years in the oil and gas sector, where she delivered complex upstream projects, she brings rich operational and commercial insight to the table. Today, she helps companies look past basic compliance and weave ESG into their strategy, governance, and financial decisions.

Her advisory work is built around measurable results. She helps clients strengthen investor confidence and open the door to sustainable finance, including ESG-linked financing structures. She lowers regulatory and compliance risk through audit-ready disclosures, and she sharpens operational efficiency and cost control through focused decarbonisation efforts spanning Scope 1 to 3.

She also guards against greenwashing and reputational exposure by putting sound data, controls, and assurance readiness in place. On top of this, she shapes credible, decision-useful ESG strategies that improve how a company positions itself in the market and frames its valuation story.

Tina's academic credentials reflect both depth and breadth. She earned a PhD in Strategy and International Business from Warwick Business School, where her research gave her a distinctive, evidence-based view of how companies handle climate transition pressures and stakeholder demands. She also holds an MBA from London Business School (LBS), a postgraduate qualification in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE), and a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
