Mara Donna Yamat

Mara Donna “Mara” Yamat is the Senior Legal Counsel and Business Consultant of Ascentium Philippines. She specializes in corporate advisory, data privacy, and anti-money laundering matters; and supports clients with regulatory compliance requirements relating to business registration, product registration, data privacy, anti-money laundering, corporate housekeeping, due diligence, and other related matters.

Prior to joining Ascentium Philippines, Mara worked as an Associate Lawyer at a law firm, where she primarily practised litigation. She also completed internships at the University of the Philippines Office of Legal Aid and the Philippine Competition Commission.

Mara earned her degree in Economics, graduating cum laude, from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the same university in 2021 and was admitted to the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in 2022.
