Alberto Vettoretti

Alberto is an entrepreneur and senior business leader specialising in corporate structuring, tax, and operational advisory services for enterprises across Asia.

With 3 decades of experience in the region, he has grown Dezan Shira & Associates, An Ascentium Company into a leading pan-Asia professional services firm with global operations across China, ASEAN, The Middle East, Europe and the United States.

Alberto is a global board member of the Leading Edge Alliance (the 4th largest global accounting association) and the chairman of its governance committee. He has held senior leadership roles across major international business chambers in China and was appointed as an International Advisor to the Guangzhou Government in recognition of his expertise in foreign investment and regional development. Alberto is the director of the firm’s subsidiary publishing company, Asia Briefing Ltd., the leading source for insights on market entry, compliance, regulatory developments, and business news across Asia.

Since 2008, Alberto has been a member of YPO (Young President Organisation), Pan GBA Chapter.

Alberto’s comments regularly appear in international publications such as The South China Morning Post, Il Sole 24 Ore and a host of other local and internationally recognised publications.

He is currently a guest lecturer for the Master Course Global Management for China where he teaches the module on Accounting, Tax and Audit in China.

Alberto is fluent in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese.
