KG is the CEO of Ascentium Singapore and stands among the most respected names in the country's accounting industry with more than two decades of experience to his name. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, a firm that later merged with Ernst & Young, before founding Precursor Assurance PAC in 2006. The Chartered Accountancy firm soon earned a reputation for both innovation and excellence.
Precursor's achievements under his guidance speak for themselves. The firm received the Innovation Award at the 2016 Singapore Accountancy Awards and the Best Practice Award at the 2018 edition, and Enterprise Singapore recognised it as a People Developer.
KG's contributions reach well beyond his own firm. He has played an active role in strengthening Singapore's accounting sector through a series of advisory and council appointments. These include serving as a Member of the ASRC Advisory Council under the Singapore Accountancy Commission (2013–2014), a Council Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) (2013–2016), and a Member of ISCA's Public Accounting Practice Committee (2013–2019).
He also sat on the Modern Services Sub-Committee under the Future Economy Committee (2018–2019). His ongoing roles include membership of the SIT ACC Industry Advisory Committee (2019–Present) and ISCA's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Taskforce's Policy & Regulation Sub-Committee (2023–Present).
This sustained commitment to the profession has brought him notable personal recognition. Nanyang Technological University (NTU) honoured him with the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award, and Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat acknowledged him as a Leader of Transformation at the 2019 Enterprise 50 Awards. With his strong focus on digital transformation in accounting, KG continues to be regarded as a forward-thinking leader shaping the future of the industry.
