Eunice Hooi leads the taxation team at Ascentium Singapore. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and an Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA). Her academic background includes a Master of Taxation and a Bachelor of Accountancy, both earned at universities in Singapore.
Eunice brings more than 25 years of leadership across corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and individual tax. Her work spans the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, where she has guided senior management and clients in a broad set of industries, including healthcare, hospitality, food and beverage, information technology, manufacturing, commodity trading, petrochemicals, and oil and gas.
She launched her career at Andersen, completing the firm's Audit and Business Advisory Worldwide Staff Training Programme in St. Charles, Illinois. Throughout her senior roles, Eunice has assembled and led high-performing teams, overseen tax and customs functions, steered complex corporate projects, and directed strategic initiatives.
Her advisory expertise reaches into corporate restructuring, business and operating model transformation, manufacturing and supply chain optimisation, business investments and divestments, intellectual property restructuring, and cross-border transactions and employment arrangements.
Outside her corporate roles, Eunice is a committed advocate for talent development and professional education. She has led seminars and workshops for bodies such as the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF), the Investment and Financial Professionals Association of Singapore (IFPAS), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She also serves as an Associate Lecturer at tertiary institutions, teaching Singapore Tax, Australia Tax, International Tax, Accounting, and Financial Analysis.
