Ascentium Vietnam signed two memoranda of understanding with Savills Vietnam and the Vietnam-China Business Council (VCBC) in Ho Chi Minh City on September 2, establishing strategic cooperation intended to strengthen support for foreign companies entering and expanding in Vietnam.

The agreements bring together complementary capabilities in corporate advisory, market entry, investment licensing, tax, accounting, real estate and international business connectivity.

Supporting a more connected investment journey

The partnerships are designed to provide international investors with more coordinated support as they assess locations, establish legal entities, secure the required approvals and build their operations in Vietnam. The cooperation will also encourage the exchange of market knowledge, investor engagement and joint initiatives that promote informed, sustainable investment decisions.

The cooperation with Savills Vietnam connects real estate strategy with the corporate and regulatory work required for market entry. Savills Vietnam contributes expertise in industrial land, ready-built factories, warehouses and commercial property, while Ascentium Vietnam supports investors with establishment, licensing, tax, accounting, payroll and continuing compliance.

The cooperation with VCBC strengthens engagement with the Chinese business community. It is expected to improve access to information and local expertise for Chinese manufacturers considering Vietnam as part of a regional diversification strategy.

"Vietnam is entering a new stage in which the quality and sustainability of investment are becoming increasingly important," Jack Nguyen, CEO of Ascentium Vietnam said. "Ascentium Vietnam supports international businesses in understanding the market, establishing the right foundations and operating with confidence over the long term. The cooperation with Savills Vietnam and VCBC strengthens that objective."

Vietnam's evolving FDI proposition

Vietnam continues to attract manufacturers from Japan, South Korea, China, the United States and Europe. High technology, electronics, automotive manufacturing and machinery are among the sectors receiving strong investor attention, while semiconductors and chip manufacturing offer further long-term potential.

The country's investment proposition is also evolving beyond labour and production costs. Infrastructure development, modern industrial parks, investment incentives, licensing efficiency and workforce quality have become increasingly important considerations for higher-value projects. These factors support Vietnam's objective of strengthening its position in regional and global value chains.

Ascentium Vietnam plays a practical role in converting investor interest into operational readiness. Its approximately 150 professionals across Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City provide support in company establishment, investment licensing, accounting, tax, payroll, administration and regulatory compliance. The local experts helps foreign investors address legal and operational requirements throughout the business lifecycle.

Vietnam's industrial sector continues to demonstrate strong momentum. The combination of real estate expertise with corporate, legal and tax support provides investors with a more comprehensive basis for evaluating and implementing market-entry plans.

Manufacturing experience in practice

Ascentium Vietnam assisted a Hong Kong-based garment manufacturer in establishing a factory in Quang Tri with investment capital of approximately US$1.25 million. The engagement covered investment and business licensing, legal review, site-related due diligence and post-establishment requirements. The company obtained the licences required for its manufacturing operation.

Additionally, a German medical-products manufacturer in establishing a factory in Long An with investment capital exceeding US$2.4 million. The project combined location assessment, corporate and factory licensing, lease review and enterprise resource planning implementation. The required licences were obtained, and the operating system was successfully introduced.

Vietnam's strategic position in ASEAN

Ascentium serves approximately 60,000 companies across 27 markets and countries. The group's international business development network, including a substantial presence in the United States and China, connects global investment interest with the implementation capabilities of its local teams.

Lennard Yong, Group Chief Executive Officer of Ascentium, said ASEAN economies present distinct strengths. Singapore remains prominent in finance and shipping, while Indonesia benefits from its natural-resource base. Vietnam has developed a particularly competitive manufacturing position through policy stability, industrial capacity, available land and an expanding pool of skilled professionals.

"Vietnam has the capacity to move beyond basic assembly and develop a deeper base of high-value manufacturing," Mr. Yong said. "The country's young population, universities and growing pool of skilled professionals provide an important foundation for the next stage of industrial development. Vietnam represents a compelling option for companies diversifying manufacturing operations across ASEAN."

The two partnerships are expected to connect Ascentium's international reach and Vietnam-based advisory capabilities with Savills Vietnam's property expertise and VCBC's business network. The combined platform is intended to help international companies evaluate Vietnam with greater clarity and ebstablish operations aligned with long-term growth.
