Precor, a leading high-end exercise equipment manufacturer, needed a new channel for growth in a struggling economy. While the company enjoyed a reputation for high-quality products, it had concerns about selling its equipment directly online. Would consumers be willing to make such a significant discretionary purchase online? Could Precor fully communicate the value and quality of its products in an ecommerce format?
