Google, Really?

Google, Really?

Heading through SeaTac airport, I was on my way to transportation and home when I spotted someting interesting. A google kiosk in the shape of a location pin. Cool.

So, it makes sense, since Google is all about information and the maps rock. Folks that are traveling from out of town would really benefit from some Google location service, right? See where SeaTac is at, how to get to Seattle, get directions, travel time to their hotel, all that good stuff. Plus it makes sense since Google is providing free wifi at the airport.

Nope. Wrong. It's a damn advertising video player. It is looping a video of the mapping services. WTF? You have a need and an audience. You have connectivity. You have the damn brand that screams get information.

Unbelievable. Come on Google, you should be ashamed.

Dangerous ground

Yes, Google is taking a dangerous stance on net neutrality, we'll see how that fight develops and how it impacts the Google brand. Quarterly earnings expectations may be shifting the company in unintended ways...

Keep your motto

Yes, seems like Google could use some reeducation in their company motto: Don't be evil...

crazy

This is quite Interesting, i would of thought it would be for maps, finding local information etc as listed in the blog... who would of thought it would be video player... maybe google is lost and needs a map for itself. . Interesting...

Ditto, but isn't Google also

Ditto, but isn't Google also backing up the new privatization of the internet with the FCC? What is happening to Google?
