Combining social media and a useful app to connect a community of runners

Brooks Sports produces high-performance running shoes much loved by dedicated runners. Ascentium thoroughly researched and assessed where and how to engage the Brooks customers and give them a platform to communicate with one another.

The many individual Brooks brand enthusiasts represented a virtual community in need of a social hub. So Ascentium designed, built, and launched the Brooks Running Club on Facebook. More than just a Facebook destination, this hub features a free application users can download to track their performance, share their progress with other runners, inspire each other, discuss product performance and preferences, and even win Brooks running shoes and apparel.

This project embodies Ascentium’s belief that innovative and useful interactive experiences can help make social media an ever more valuable marketing channel.
